Volunteers take specialized training programs and earn certificates over a three-year period. Orientations are held at least once each quarter. Volunteer training takes place in San Mateo County, California. |

Intergenerational visitors—Nursing home residents hold and love infants and children. Arts and crafts instructor Pet sharer—Nursing home residents stroke and "talk" with a friendly animal, such as a dog or cat. |
